Cat Lady round up!
Hi everyone and welcome to a round up of some of the coolest cat ladies on the World Wide Web! When I announced the Cat Lady Sewing Challenge I had no idea that so many of you (close to 50!!!!) would participate. It's so awesome to see this many talented ladies share their sewing skills and a bit about their cats or love for cats. I hope everyone has enjoyed this sewing adventure, it's fun to sew for a noncompetitive, any skill level kind of challenge, don't you think? Well, I had fun and have found some amazing new blogs to follow in the process. Thanks to everyone for joining in!!! And if I accidentally missed your garment in this round up or if your post was past the deadline please let me know and I will add it.
Oh, and the winner (chosen by random) is announced at the bottom of this post :)
A whole group of cat ladies! The Wellington Sewing Blogger Network rocks!
Alright, now time for the giveaway winners! Yes, winners, plural. There were so many entries that I thought it best to have two winners instead of one :) The first is Angelica from My Dear Lizzie and the second is Julia from Julia's Blog, both chosen at random. I'll be in touch with you both shortly to get your patterns sent out to the appropriate place.
Thanks again to everyone who participated!!!! xo

ReplyDeleteGah, too awesome!! Everybody's makes AND their feline friends are just too divine. What a wonderful challenge and great round up too! Sadly, I've been flu ridden last 2 weeks and my cat lady blouse lies unfinished. :( But, I shall not let deadlines stop me and will get it sewn this weekend. Still delighted to have the inspiration to even sew a cat themed outfit. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThat's some serious cat love! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I loved seeing everyone's makes. Some of those fabric finds are awesome!
ReplyDeleteLoving all the cattiness! In so sad I didn't get to join in, would have loved to but haven't got the time to see anything at the mo due to looking after my 3 month old... I do have a cat quilt I need to finish for her so will do my own cat lady tribute when I have more time. But I've really enjoyed seeing what everyone else has sewn!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the sewalong, just the kick I needed to make me sew my fabric!!
ReplyDeleteThis was my first ever sewing challenge, and it's funny how part of a community you feel just by taking part. No longer am I a lone crazy sewing cat lady in the world...I know of at least 50 others now! :) I read almost everyone's blog posts before the deadline and intend to read the rest now. Loved seeing people's fur babies and their choice of fabrics, quite a few I am now coveting. Well done Erin, for taking the time to host this...could we have it every year? :)
